Sport

Our main aim is that all pupils are taught and coached at a level that allows them to reach their potential and to enjoy participating in sport. On the way, they develop determination, resilience and teamwork skills.

All classes from Reception to Year 8 have four PE lessons a week, taught by PE specialists. Nursery are also taught by PE specialists each week. The curriculum includes lots of opportunities for girls to learn new skills. 

We provide extra coaching opportunities for all levels in most of our sports. We endeavour to give as many girls as possible match experience and an opportunity to represent Godstowe in the wider community. 

All girls in year 3 and above compete in our Inter-House competitions. 

Fantastic Facilities

We are fortunate to have outstanding purpose-built facilities including a 25m Indoor Swimming Pool, a Sports Hall, four floodlit Netball courts / Tennis courts, a Floodlit Lacrosse pitch / Athletics field. 

Sporting Success

Our Year 8 leavers gain 13+ Sports Scholarships to prestigious senior schools, in some years as many as 12! We qualify for IAPS National Finals in Netball and Swimming most years. Our Lacrosse teams have been quarter finalists in the National Schools Tournament.
