Welcome to Godstowe

Godstowe is a happy and thriving preparatory school for girls aged 7 to 13, approximately a third of whom are boarders. We also have a lively Pre-Prep and Nursery for girls and boys aged 3 to 7.

Godstowe is well known for setting the highest possible standards and enjoys an enviable reputation. We believe that we are the best at what we do and would very much like to have the chance to show you why we are so proud of Godstowe. Given the chance, children flourish here, in and out of the classroom.

23 October 2010 - 31 October 2010 Half Term All pupils may leave at 4pm. Supervised Prep available until 5.30pm. On Sunday, boarders return by 8pm, IV Form by 9pm.

12 November 2010 - 14 November 2010 Fixed Exeat All pupils may leave at 4pm. Supervised Prep available until 5.30pm. On Sunday, boarders return by 8pm, IV Form by 9pm.

A fantastic day had by all...

Saturday, 3rd July saw a big day for Godstowe pupils, old and new. We held a reunion of Old Godstownians (pictured above), and were very pleased to welcome back nearly 200. As well as lots of recent leavers, we were joined by some who hadn’t been back for over 50 years.

After the reunion they joined the rest of the school for our biennial Fete. Packed with numerous activities which ranged from the traditional (welly wanging and splat the rat), to the more contemporary (sumo wrestling and human table football), everyone enjoyed themselves in the glorious sunshine. The girls and boys entertained us with music, dancing, fashion shows and sporting displays.

Thanks go to the Friends of Godstowe for organising such a fantastic day – and to all the staff, parents and pupils for making it such fun!
