Friends of Godstowe
The Friends of Godstowe, 'FOG', exists to benefit our pupils by actively supporting and promoting the school, through social events and fund raising. There are many occasions during the school year when social events are organised by FOG simply for the fun of it! If funds are generated, then so much the better. There are other times when fund raising is primarily the purpose and every effort will be made to ensure its success in generating money for the school.
FOG, with the help of the school and the form teachers, promotes the importance of the involvement of its parents via the use of Class Reps throughout the school, from Nursery, through to the Pre-Prep and Main School. These Reps hope to enlist support from other parents at FOG events. They will also help to promote and encourage maximum attendance so that we all enjoy as much success as possible.
We are very fortunate to have an active committee ready to give their time freely. But they will need help. Every now and again, parents will be asked if they could spare some time to support FOG. We hope parents feels able to offer their services. Anyone interested in becoming a committee member would be most welcome.

What does FOG raise money for?
Items of additional equipment which the school might not necessarily be able to consider; 'extra icing on the cake', in some respects:
- Swimming pool improvements
- Further interactive whiteboards
- Additional play equipment
Does FOG have any plans in mind for particular projects in the future?
Yes! A wish list is being drawn up in conjunction with the Headmaster and staff. Further ideas are always welcome.
Is FOG a stand alone enterprise?
Yes, it is. FOG keeps its own accounts and is responsible for reporting annually on its activities. Any expenditure has to be agreed by the committee before it can be released to the school.
Why does FOG need class reps?
Class reps are critical to the ongoing success of FOG, as they help provide the link to the parent body and facilitate social occasions among their form groups and encourage involvement at forthcoming events.
