| 22 June 2007 | Snippets Volume 1 Issue 27What a shame that Lodge Sports Day was a washout. Perhaps we could have continued with a water sports afternoon. I hope this weather has not disrupted the IVs’ trip at Calshot too much. They appear to be having a great time from what I can gather. View PDF>

| 15 June 2007 | Snippets Volume 1 Issue 26Sports Day has just happened and, as I write, it is tipping down outside. We were very fortunate to enjoy a terrific morning of athletics and very many congratulations to all of the girls for taking part so enthusiastically. Medals were won, badges were worn and fun was had by all. Many thanks to Fiona Reynolds, the sports staff and everyone else who helped organise such a terrific event. View PDF>

| 08 June 2007 | Snippets Volume 1 Issue 25This has been a very busy week, what with field sports, swimming, tennis fixtures and, oh yes, Common Entrance examinations. Congratulations to all of the IVs who have now finished their exams and we look forward to the results being published next week. View PDF>

| 25 May 2007 | Snippets Volume 1 Issue 24I hope those of you who were able to attend this afternoon’s concert enjoyed listening to yet more outstanding performances from our girls, and some staff. Many thanks to Mr Bonner and all other staff associated with this concert, which was very entertaining. View PDF>

| 18 May 2007 | Snippets Volume 1 Issue 23As half term approaches and I prepare to take the girls rowing (adopting a purely supervisory role, of course), I should remind you of a particularly important occasion that takes place next week. I am sure you are aware that Elizabeth Burton-Phillips has been devoting much of her time to the forthcoming launch her book Mum, can you lend me twenty quid? This launch actually takes place on Wednesday, 23 May and those of you who have time to catch up with GMTV, Women’s Hour on Radio 4 an/or the Mail on Sunday will see and hear some of the early interviews with Elizabeth. She will be discussing her book and why she has felt so moved to write it. I wish her every success and may her motivation be an example to us all. View PDF>

| 11 May 2007 | Snippets Volume 1 Issue 22I’m impressed. We sent a letter to Form II parents inviting their girls to come and join us for a specially-organised sleepover suggesting that, on a first come, first served basis, 12 girls could join us. By 9am on Tuesday morning, 14 reply slips had been returned! We hope to extend the invitation to other year groups in due course. View PDF>

| 04 May 2007 | Snippets Volume 1 Issue 21Exeat already. Although it is unlikely to have escaped your attention, I would like to respectfully remind you that anyone turning up for School on Monday will be put in a taxi and sent home – it’s bank holiday! Boarders, therefore, should return on Monday evening rather than Sunday. View PDF>

| 27 April 2007 | Snippets Volume 1 Issue 20A very warm welcome – and it was a warm welcome at 26° outside – to no fewer than 25 new boys and girls to the School this term. It’s terrific to see so many new members of the Godstowe clan and I do hope they have settled as quickly as they appear to have done. View PDF>
