| 07 March 2008 | Snippets Volume 2, Issue 19Just come back from the netball and getting ready for the Lower Division production this evening. I thoroughly enjoyed the dress rehearsal and I know the girls are looking forward to providing parents and staff with an evening’s entertainment to remember. I look forward to seeing many of you later and also to taking the boarders on an outing to Windsor Castle on Sunday. View PDF>

| 29 February 2008 | Snippets Volume 2, Issue 18Thank you very much indeed for your help in connection with Open Morning which, I am to tell you, was another terrific success. We had 30 sets of visitors to the school – many of them referring to existing parents as the reason for their appearance. You should also be proud if any of your daughters led tours because parents spoke very highly indeed of them when returning to the library for coffee. Thank you to everyone concerned, and to the staff for preparing excellent displays, exhibitions and workshops. View PDF>

| 22 February 2008 | Snippets Volume 2, Issue 17Welcome back! I hope you all had a fun-filled half term holiday. For us, it was a blur of new computers, widescreen monitors, cabling, polystyrene packaging and big cardboard boxes. Other than a few days without email access, the system upgrade has gone extremely well and girls in Main School are already enjoying the benefits. Lodge and Nursery should be online within the next few days. View PDF>

| 08 February 2008 | Snippets Volume 2 Issue 16Welcome to half term, which seems to have arrived before it started. We are just about to welcome parents to the latest in our series of parents’ evenings tonight and then we look forward to a week’s R&R. No doubt many of you will be going away and you will be beside yourselves with excitement to know that our computer systems are being renewed literally as we type. During the course of next week the whole programme of upgrades will be completed and the girls will be able to enjoy the new suite of computers immediately after half term. View PDF>

| 01 February 2008 | Snippets Volume 2 Issue 15The results season is in full swing and I am very pleased to be able to pass on the following information with our considerable congratulations: Firstly, Evie MacSwiney has been successful in her art scholarship attempt for Malvern St James. Needless to say she is delighted. Both girls who took entrance tests to Malvern St James have been offered firm places.
Last night, just before we walked down to the Wycombe Swan theatre to enjoy the Nutcracker, I was delighted to be able to inform 17 girls that they had all been offered firm places as a result of their successful examination attempts to Cheltenham Ladies’ College. This, as I’m sure you will appreciate, is a terrific achievement all round. Well done indeed and my thanks as usual to all the staff who have been involved in so skilfully preparing the girls. | 25 January 2008 | Snippets Volume 2 Issue 14Good afternoon. It’s not actually raining at the moment, so we had better type quickly in order that the heavens don’t open in the meantime. I hope you are looking forward to exeat weekend; we seem only to have just started. Many thanks to those of you who supplied cakes for today’s cake sale, particularly, those of you who buy back your own cakes! That really is entering into the spirit of things! View PDF>

| 18 January 2008 | Snippets Volume 2 Issue 13If this rain goes on much longer we will need to reintroduce rowing to the curriculum this term. We won’t need to go to Eton, we can just row on our own pitches. No doubt many of you will have had a thrilling Christmas holiday and, judging by the number of enthusiastically raised hands at assembly, two-thirds of the school went overseas, many of them to rather hotter climates confirmed by some wonderful tans on view. It’s even more fun after the Easter holidays because we always have lots of panda eyes returning to school after skiing. View PDF>
