IV Form Activities Day

The IV Form spent the day exploring religions from around the world. They were visited by Mrs Ahmed, the mother of an old girl, who talked about the Qur'an and cooked a traditional meal.

Upper Thirds' Activities Day

The Upper Thirds took a trip to London for Activities Day. They spend the morning at a drama workshop, and then enjoyed a matinee performance of We Will Rock you at the Dominion Theatre.

The Middle Thirds took a trip to the Imperial War Museum in London. They focussed on life in the First World War trenches as part of their history topic for this term.

The Lowers enjoyed a Language Day in School. They were introduced to Spanish and Latin, designed and modelled French fashion and finished the day making mosaics.

Form II spent a day thinking about recycling. They made paper and books from recycled materials, looked at a wormery and benefits of composting.

Form I enjoyed a World Art Day, completing numerous art projects using different techniques from around the world. Each group contributed to all the projects.

British Schoolgirls' Skiing Championships

Godstowe entered a team of three skiers in the British Schoolgirls’ Ski Championships in Flaine, France. Eleri Guy, aged just 12, finished third overall in the three slalom races to win a bronze medal. Her teammates, 13 year old Rosanna and Georgia Vellacott, finished fourth and seventh respectively.

The Middle Division (Years 5 and 6) gave a stunning performance of BLAST OFF!, the story of a school trip into space.

The Upper Thirds at Verulamium

For Activities Day, the Upper Third girls (Year 7) visited Verulamium, the ruins of a Roman city in St Albans.

Fashion Show

The IV Form girls (Year 8) put on a Fashion Show as part of this year's Art Exhibition. The theme of the show was 'recycling', and outfits were made using old shirts, carrier bags and bin liners, CDs, bottle tops and other recyclable goods.

New Food Technology Studio in Action

The Middle Third girls (year 6) put the new Food Technology Studio to good use on Activities day when they designed, baked and decorated their own cakes.

Godstowe's U12s were the undefeated winners of the tournament, with the U13s winning their section after losing just two matches.
