Our Plans

We do not intend to let the grass grow beneath our feet at Godstowe, except where we want it to. We are always considering areas for further development and looking for ways to improve our provision still further. In my opinion, there has never been a more exciting time to be involved with Godstowe School, whether as a parent, friend, pupil, former pupil or member of staff.

Our current plans, which are outlined in full in this area of the website, are ambitious but realistically attainable and are designed to keep Godstowe at the forefront of preparatory school education in the United Kingdom. We are determined to ensure our school allows every possible opportunity for personal development, achievement and happiness. A motivational environment, combined with the very obvious desire we all have to succeed at every level means our girls, and boys in the Nursery and Lodge, really can ‘look towards their goals’ (Finem Respice, the school’s motto).

Ongoing, regular smaller projects are supported by the Annual Fund (controlled by the Friends of Godstowe) whereas major development and building is planned through the Development Fund; These are both explained clearly at the links provided.

We want to engage everyone’s interest in our school’s further development and hope that you will find our plans exciting, forward-thinking and a clear demonstration of our ambitious intent.
