Andy Kemp, Chairman
Andy Kemp joined the School Council in February 2006 and has been Chairman since July 2007. He has a daughter at Godstowe (Rachel) and a son and daughter at Wellington College. He is married to Lee.
Andy is a senior partner in PwC, the international accounting and financial services organisation. He is based in London and works with a number of major multinational clients. As Chairman of Council, Andy brings to bear experience gained from advising on the financial affairs of many different organisations, from small charities and pension funds to some of the UK’s largest corporates.

Kate Allner
A former parent, Kate has three children, all of whom attended Godstowe at some point, including her son. All continued onto Haileybury as boarders and the eldest is now studying English at the University of Edinburgh.
Having lived locally, Kate went to Wycombe High School and Bath University before pursuing a career in the City until the arrival of her children. Currently she is a committee member of the Chiltern branch of Action Medical Research. Kate enjoys sailing and tennis.
Martin Ashworth
Martin and his wife Alison have two daughters, one of whom is currently a pupil at Godstowe. Their elder daughter is now at Headington School in Oxford, having previously been a Godstowe pupil.
Martin is a Chartered Accountant, specialising in European regulatory capital policy at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London.
Outside of work Martin’s interests include running, skiing and trying to sail a small dinghy on the Thames at Cookham.
Janet Brent
Janet Brent has been on the School Council since 2000 following three years as Chairman of The Friends of Godstowe, and she is currently Deputy Chairman of Council and Chairman of the General Purposes Committee. Janet has had two daughters at Godstowe, both of whom were initially day girls and subsequently full boarders from 11 until the age of 13. Her elder daughter, Catherine, is now a Vet, and her younger daughter, Pamela, a trainee solicitor.
Professionally, Janet qualified in medicine at The Royal Free Hospital, London, and holds a postgraduate diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Her most recent post was as a company medical adviser, but she has now retired. Her husband is a chartered accountant and until recently was Chairman of an international manufacturing company, and she has a son in business in the USA.
Janet is particularly aware of the pressures and responsibilities that arise within a school community as she comes from a family with a strong educational background: her father was Headmaster of a 1,500-pupil school in which her mother also taught.
Tom Bunbury
Tom Bunbury joined the School Council in November 2008. He has been Headmaster of Papplewick School in Ascot since January 2004, a prep school for boys aged 6-13 which a number of Godstowe brothers attend. Prior to his teaching career, Tom was a solicitor in London working in criminal law.
Tom is married to Sallie and they have four children, Harry, Mollie, Lily and Archie aged 7, 6, 5, and 4. Fatherhood and headmastership have restricted the time available for Tom’s former interests of tennis, golf, theatre and travel but he still harbours hopes of returning to them one day!
Jo Davis
Jo has been a member of the School Council since 2006. She grew up locally and attended Dr Challoners High School in Amersham before studying Law. She is currently a Partner and Head of the Employment Department at B P Colllins LLP in Gerrards Cross.
Jo is married with three young children.
Anthea Hickman
Anthea was appointed to the School Council in 2005 and is a member of the General Purposes Committee and is the governor with responsibility for child protection. She brings with her a strong educational background having joined the teaching staff at Godstowe in 1985 as Head of Science. She subsequently became Director of Studies and later Academic Deputy Head of Godstowe.
Since retiring from Godstowe in 2002 Anthea has continued to work as an inspector with the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI). She now leads inspection teams as a 'Reporting Inspector'. In 2003 she joined the governing body of a local maintained primary school where she is vice chairman of the governing body and chair of the curriculum committee.
Anthea plays tennis and golf and enjoys spending time with her family and small grandchildren.
Neill Lunnon
Neill is new to the School Council in 2011. He has taught biology at Wellington College since 2004 and has been a housemaster for 11 years. His wife, Jane, is Deputy Headmistress at Wellington and a teacher of English. Neill has always enjoyed participating in a variety of sports, especially football. He coaches rugby, football and cricket at the college.
After many years of encouraging his pupils to take up a new instrument, Neill decided to practice what he preached and has been learning the bagpipes for five years. He has two children, Josephine, 11, and Jamie, 9, who attend Eagle House Prep School. His niece is a current pupil at Godstowe. Neill also enjoys skiing and spending time with his family in Dorset when they manage to escape from Wellington!
Linda Poore
Linda joins the School Council in November 2010. She is married to John and has 4 daughters, all of whom attended Godstowe as day girls.
Founder member and subsequent Secretary of FOG. Took over the running of the Second Hand Uniform Shop from School for the Friends on a weekly basis for several years.
Former member/Chairman/Secretary of the High Wycombe branch of the NSPCC and has been a former member and Secretary of both Beaconsfield High School PTA and Amersham Swimming Club. Linda works part-time for John in his family Builders Merchant’s business.
Michael Tebbot
Michael was elected the inaugural Chairman of the Friends of Godstowe and served on the Fundraising Committee for the new £1m Music School, completed in 1999. He was Chairman of Council from 2002 until his retirement in 2007.
Michael is married to Merelina and has four children, all of whom attended Godstowe at one stage. The youngest, Ruth, left in July 1999.
Professionally, Michael is Director of Garrett McKee Tebbot and Wells Architects based High Wycombe.
Charles van den Arend
Charles joined the school Council in the spring of 2012. He is married to an old Godstowe girl and has three young children aged 10, 8 and 5.
Charles and his family have recently moved out of London and are living near Oxford. He is a partner in a firm of accountants in Uxbridge.
